The group takes a year working in the planning and organization of a feminist festival of nine days. Throughout the process we have discussed, thought out and argued internally what to do a free festival, self-managed and feminist. The wave of evictions and repression that has experienced the squatters' movement in recent months in Madriz took us to a complicated debate and chose the option of performing some activities in the tobacco industry. Ladyfest is a feminist self-organized festival that brings together music, video, workshops, art, sports, activism, performance, Riot Grrls, dancing and revolution.
